Provides scheduled and emergency/unscheduled repairs to customer conveyor systems. Demonstrates skills including but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, fabrication/welding, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting. Reads and interprets equipment manuals, blue prints and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.  Conducts conveyor systems setup/review, troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance services.  Complies with all government regulatory requirements, including but not limited to OSHA, MSHA and DOT. Performs other duties as assigned by management and/or as needed.

• Strong mechanical background, including bearing installation, fluid power knowledge and best practices of component interchange.

• Basic knowledge of blueprint reading and general knowledge of customers’ conveyor systems.

• Performs welding-SMAW, GMAW and TIG. OXY, PLASMA and AIR ARC cutting as required.

• Demonstrates proper rigging and signaling for hoisting operations.

• Observes conveyor system operations to detect defects or component malfunction.

• General knowledge of laser alignment technology.

• General fabrication and layout abilities.

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; three to six years related experience and/or training preferred.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to read and interpret metal rule.
