Job Description

Senior MEP Project Manager<br />Newmarket<br />Contract 1st Step Solutions are supporting a leading Tier 1 M&amp;E Contractor who have an opportunity for a Senior MEP Project Manager to be based on a commercial project in Newmarket.

To be successful in this role, you will have a proven track record in project management, particularly within the commercial sector or similar related projects with values between £30 - £40mil. Ideally, you will have experience of demonstrating responsibility for full Contract Management at this level.

Responsibilities:<br />- Develop, control, and ensure delivery against the project budgets including profit, preliminaries and procurements.<br />- Implement detailed programmes and schedules which allow accurate monitoring and reporting of progress<br />- Secure and manage the appropriate resources to deliver the project / scheme effectively and efficiently in a professional manner to ensure successful delivery within project constraints.<br />- Implement and manage the development of the Project Quality Plan, Trade Quality Plans, and Defect rectification procedures<br />- Ensure there is a successful and smooth handover of the project, including support to customer/ end user throughout the handover process.

Requirements:<br />- CSCS/SMSTS.<br />- Mechanical or electrical bias.<br />- HNC/HND in Building Services Engineering desirable.<br />- Experience of working at a senior level on M&amp;E projects, as well as ideally having had responsibility for full contract management.<br />- Effective communicator at all levels.<br />- Capability to accept responsibilities and accomplish project objectives in a timely manner.<br />- Good computer skills especially with Microsoft Office.<br />- Be aware of health and safety requirements and the continual assessment/control of risk.<br />- Able to develop and maintain good working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
