Project Manager (Commercial Solar) | Outside IR35 Contract

Location: West London / Hybrid (3 days per week in the office and client sites)
Contract Length: 3-6 Months
Rate: Competitive Day Rate (Outside IR35)

A rapidly growing Renewable energy business is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the delivery of a portfolio of commercial rooftop solar projects. This is an excellent opportunity to join a business with a strong pipeline of secured work and play a key role in delivering high value renewable energy installations. This role is confirmed as outside IR35, offering flexibility and the opportunity to make an immediate impact within a growing organisation.Key Responsibilities

• Manage multiple commercial and industrial rooftop solar projects simultaneously.
• Oversee projects from initial planning through to commissioning and handover.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, clients and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor programme delivery, budgets, variations and commercial performance.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
• Provide regular progress updates and maintain strong client relationships.
• Manage site activities and contractor performance across multiple locations.

Requirements

• Proven experience delivering commercial or industrial rooftop solar PV projects.
• Strong electrical knowledge or background within the renewable energy sector.
• Demonstrable experience managing contractors and site delivery teams.
• Commercial awareness with experience managing project costs and budgets.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Comfortable using project management software such as Asana, Monday.com or similar.

Desirable

• Experience in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and EV charging infrastructure.
• Knowledge of CDM regulations and health & safety requirements.
• SMSTS, SSSTS or equivalent site management qualifications.
