The Role: National Sales and Business Development Manager

"Strengthening and expanding the sales function"

Reporting to the General Manager, this role will lead Landmark's national sales and business development function, with accountability for revenue growth, sales execution, pipeline performance, customer engagement and team capability.

You'll be responsible for leading the growth & development of the current and future sales force structure ensuring Landmark remains an industry leader across the country.

Just as importantly, you'll bring the emotional intelligence to listen, learn and build trust before introducing change. This is not a role for someone who simply wants to push harder; it is for someone who can understand the business, respect what is already working, and then lead people confidently toward a more proactive and accountable sales culture.

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading the national sales and business development function across Landmark
  • Developing and executing sales plans aligned to national growth objectives
  • Strengthening lead qualification & management, RFQ & tender management, forecasting and pipeline visibility
  • Improving quote-to-order conversion, revenue growth, margin outcomes and customer engagement
  • Building a consistent sales operating rhythm across the team
  • Embedding strong use of CRM, reporting and sales data as a single source of truth
  • Coaching and developing sales, operations and business development staff & capability
  • Driving proactive engagement with councils, contractors, developers, designers and specifiers
  • Working closely with marketing, production, operations and finance to align sales activity with delivery and profitability
  • Supporting future territory and market expansion strategies

About you

You're a commercially astute sales leader who knows how to bring people with you. You understand the fundamentals of sales performance, but you also appreciate that lasting change comes from trust, clarity and good judgement.

You may come from construction, infrastructure, manufacturing, industrial services, project sales or another business to business environment where sales discipline, commercial thinking and customer relationships matter. More important than your industry background will be your ability to lead a sales & BD team, lift capability and create a more confident and performance focused environment.

You'll bring:

  • Experience leading a sales, business development or commercial growth function
  • Strong sales fundamentals, including qualification, pipeline management, forecasting and conversion discipline
  • The ability to balance strategy with practical, hands on execution
  • Commercial acumen and confidence working with budgets, margins and performance data
  • A calm, mature and emotionally intelligent leadership style
  • Confidence influencing change across established teams
  • Strong communication skills across senior leaders, team members and customers
  • Integrity, professionalism and an ownership mindset
