Our client, a leading food manufacturer, is investing in engineering capability at their Haverhill site and is now looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer to join their established team. offering the work-life balance of a 4 on 4 off days pattern, this Maintenance Engineer opportunity offers stability, technical variety and long-term progression.
This isnt just another maintenance role. As a Maintenance Engineer, youll play a key part in keeping production running at peak performance, ensuring plant reliability, food safety compliance and continuous improvement across site operations.
What Youll Be Doing: Maintenance Engineer
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance across electrical and mechanical systems
Responding quickly and effectively to breakdowns to minimise downtime
Fault-finding across production machinery, control systems and ancillary equipment
Supporting continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
Ensuring all engineering work is completed safely and in line with site standards
Contributing to a proactive, team-focused engineering culture
What Were Looking For: Maintenance Engineer
NVQ Level 3 in Engineering (or equivalent)
Strong multi-skilled background with both electrical and mechanical competence
Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing or food production environment
Good understanding of health, safety and environmental legislation
Knowledge of lean manufacturing and TPM principles
Breathing Apparatus and Fire Fighting certification (desirable)
