IT Support Engineer

IT Support Technician Lisburn | £30,000-£35,000 | Pension and Private Healthcare This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on IT support professional who wants more than a conventional service desk position. You will provide 1st and 2nd Line support across office, operational and site-based environments while working closely with the IT Manager on infrastructure, security and digital-improvement projects. The position is fully on-site in Lisburn and offers a 1:30pm finish every Friday. The role As the first point of contact for day-to-day IT support, you will: Troubleshoot hardware, software, Microsoft 365, printing, mobile-device and network-connectivity issues. Support Windows PCs, laptops, printers and other business technology. Administer user accounts, permissions, password resets and MFA. Assist with onboarding and leaver processes. Support Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive and Microsoft Office applications. Install software, manage access requests and assist with licensing and updates. Log, prioritise and document incidents, escalating more complex issues when required. Assist with backups, endpoint protection, patching and routine system checks. Maintain IT documentation, asset records and user guidance. Support technology rollouts, supplier coordination and continuous-improvement projects. Help the business make better use of Microsoft tools and digital workflows. What you will need Previous experience in an IT support, service desk, helpdesk or technician position. Good working knowledge of Windows devices and Microsoft 365. Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, printing and basic networking issues. Strong communication skills and a patient, customer-focused approach. The ability to prioritise effectively in a busy operational environment. An HND in Computing or an equivalent relevant qualification. A valid UK driving licence. Experience with any of the following would be beneficial: Microsoft Entra ID or Azure. Endpoint security, backup products or ticketing systems. ERP implementations, transitions or upgrades. Construction, manufacturing, production or another operational environment. Automation, reporting or digital workflow tools. Package Salary of £30,000-£35,000. Pension. Private healthcare. Permanent, full-time position. Monday-Thursday, 8:30am-5:00pm. Friday, 8:00am-1:30pm.
