Job Description

About us

splose is the AI-powered practice management platform powering better health care. Trusted by over 25,000+ Allied Health professionals around the world, splose is purpose-built to free clinicians from admin and let them focus on what matters most - helping people. Backed by leading VC funds EVP, Spectrum Equity, and Athletic Ventures we have recently announced a record-breaking $46M Series A raise - the largest Series A of any South Australian SaaS company ever. We're growing fast and investing in our product, our people, and our global growth.

About you

As a QA / Test Engineer, you'll help make sure the product we ship is reliable, high quality, and genuinely fit for the people who rely on it every day. You'll be embedded in a small, cross-functional squad alongside a product manager, engineers, and a designer, with a hands on engineering manager looking after team health and delivery. You'll also work closely with the QA/Test Manager, with plenty of room to grow your technical skills and take on more scope over time.

You test with curiosity, not just checklists. You can spot the difference between a real defect, a data issue, an environment problem, and expected behaviour, and you back your conclusions with clear evidence. You care about coverage that actually matches risk, and you know that good testing supports the team's pace rather than slowing it down.

What you'll do
  • Plan and run functional, regression, end to end, and exploratory testing across new features, enhancements, and defect fixes

  • Develop, maintain, and improve automated tests using approved frameworks, and help grow reliable automation coverage across critical workflows

  • Investigate and document defects with clear reproduction steps, evidence, and expected results, then retest promptly once they're resolved

  • Work closely with engineers, product managers, and designers throughout the development lifecycle to clarify requirements and surface risks early

  • Review requirements and technical changes to shape a risk based test approach, including test data, environments, and coverage

  • Look for practical ways to improve testing processes, tooling, and documentation, and build your technical skills in areas like API testing, CI/CD, accessibility, and performance testing

What you'll bring

Required:

  • Around 2-4 years of professional experience in software testing or QA

  • Experience testing web-based SaaS applications in an agile product development environment

  • Practical knowledge of functional, regression, integration, end to end, exploratory, and smoke testing

  • Experience turning requirements into test scenarios with appropriate coverage

  • Hands on experience creating or maintaining automated tests using a modern framework

  • Working knowledge of a modern programming or scripting language such as TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, Java, or C#

  • Experience with defect tracking and delivery tools such as Jira

  • Familiarity with source control and pull request workflows, preferably Git

  • Comfortable investigating failures using browser developer tools, logs, network requests, or traces

Nice to have:

  • Exposure to automated testing within CI/CD pipelines

  • Experience with API testing, observability, or performance testing

  • A relevant tertiary qualification or software testing certification

Next Steps:

Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an initial screening call by our internal TA team.
