The Learning Partnership is seeking an exceptional Director of People to join our Extended Executive Team and lead the development and delivery of the Trust’s People Strategy.
This is a significant senior leadership opportunity, with responsibility for ensuring our vision, values and strategic priorities are embedded throughout workforce planning, culture and development. At the heart of the role is our most important resource - our people - and creating an inclusive, high-performing organisation where colleagues thrive and pupils succeed.

While each of our schools retains its own distinctive identity and ethos, working in partnership enables us to share expertise, resources and best practice to achieve the best possible outcomes for our pupils and communities.
Working closely with the Executive Team, Directors of Phase, Trust Board and colleagues across our schools, the Director of People will provide strategic leadership across the full people agenda. You will strengthen Trust-wide culture and connection, lead organisational development and change, and ensure consistent, high-quality people systems and services across the organisation.
As Director of People, you will:

· Lead and develop the central People team to provide high-quality, consistent HR services across our schools.
· Develop a comprehensive professional development framework that strengthens workforce capability and succession planning.
· Lead the Trust’s approach to pay and reward, recruitment, equality, diversity and inclusion, employee wellbeing and engagement.
· Oversee the payroll function and lead the review and development of the Trust’s payroll and HRIS arrangements.
· Provide strategic advice to the Board and Executive Team on workforce trends, organisational design and culture.
· Ensure robust and compliant HR, safeguarding and safer recruitment practices across the Trust.
We are looking for an accomplished and collaborative people professional with experience of strategic people leadership, organisational culture and change. You will have a proven track record of delivering people strategies that improve culture and performance, alongside a strong understanding of employment law, safeguarding and sector-specific HR requirements.
An excellent communicator and influential leader, you will build strong relationships across the organisation, negotiate effectively with senior stakeholders and trade unions, and lead and motivate others. Above all, you will be collaborative, proactive and committed to equity, transparency and the Trust’s values.
