Job Description

Entry-Level CNC Machinist

Pay: up to $20.00 / hour (based on experience)

Job Type: Full-time / Part-time

Shifts Available:
  • Weekday Nights: Monday - Thursday, 2nd / 3rd Shift
  • Weekend Nights: Friday - Sunday, Night Shift

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level CNC Machinist to join our production team. In this role, you will assist in setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce precision metal or plastic parts. This is an excellent opportunity for entry level candidates of machining programs, technical school students, or individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude looking to build a career in manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load raw materials into CNC mills or lathes and monitor machine operation.
  • Read and interpret basic blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
  • Perform basic dimensional inspections using calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure parts meet specifications.
  • Perform daily machine maintenance, fluid checks, and work area cleanup.
  • Assist senior machinists with machine setups, tool changes, and minor offset adjustments.
  • Follow all safety protocols and quality control standards.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required; vocational degree or certificate in Precision Machining/CNC Operations is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of G-code, CNC controls, and shop math.
  • Ability to read precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods during a shift.
  • Reliable transportation and commitment to shift punctuality.
