Senior Staff Embedded CPU Software Test Engineer

Qualcomm seeks a Sr. Staff CPU Software Test Engineer to design, implement, and execute complex test strategies for advanced wireless and CPU subsystems powering 5G, AI, and IoT platforms. You will develop automated test frameworks, create test plans from architecture and design specs, and perform performance, regression, and stress testing for embedded and Linux/Android environments. Collaborate with cross functional silicon, firmware, and systems teams to debug issues, analyze logs, and improve test coverage. Mentor junior engineers and drive best practices for quality, reliability, and scalability in a fast paced, innovation driven culture.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain automated test frameworks for CPU and wireless subsystems
• Develop detailed test plans and test cases from architecture and design specifications
• Execute functional, regression, performance, and stress tests on embedded and Linux/Android platforms
• Debug complex HW/SW interactions, analyze logs, and drive root cause resolution with silicon, firmware, and systems teams
• Measure and improve test coverage, quality metrics, and reliability of CPU software components
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and optimize test execution efficiency
