Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with 7+ years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and data platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with data integration, ETL/ELT, cloud technologies, SQL, and modern data engineering tools.

The candidate should be able to work onsite in Atlanta, GA and collaborate closely with data architects, analysts, application teams, and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
• Build and optimize data ingestion and transformation workflows from multiple data sources.
• Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data transformation logic.
• Work with structured and unstructured data across relational and cloud-based platforms.
• Implement data quality, validation, reconciliation, and monitoring processes.
• Optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost.
• Develop data models and support enterprise data warehouse/lakehouse initiatives.
• Integrate data from APIs, databases, files, applications, and other enterprise systems.
• Troubleshoot data pipeline failures and resolve production issues.
• Collaborate with Data Architects, Developers, BI teams, QA, and business stakeholders.
• Implement CI/CD practices for data engineering workflows.
• Document data pipelines, technical processes, data mappings, and system dependencies.
• Follow data security, governance, privacy, and compliance standards.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in Data Engineering or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and relational databases.
• Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT processes and data integration.
• Experience with data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and data pipelines.
• Experience with Python, Java, or Scala for data engineering.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong understanding of data quality, data validation, and data governance.
• Experience with batch and/or real-time data processing.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, and Agile development methodologies.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
