About the Opportunity

Our client is a vertically integrated consumer products manufacturer whose business spans e-commerce, B2B sales, manufacturing, supply chain and procurement. Their small but high-impact Data & Analytics team supports every corner of the business and is building a modern data platform that unifies data from more than 20 source systems, including several ERPs.

They’re looking for a hands-on PM to bring structure, keep work moving and serve as the team’s link to the rest of the business. You’ll run Agile ceremonies, own intake, gather requirements and manage stakeholder communication, so the engineers and analysts can focus on delivery. This role reports to the Head of BI / Data & Analytics.

This is a contract-to-hire opportunity

What You’ll Do

• Run the team’s Agile ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, retros) and adapt them as needed, such as swapping a standup for a written update when the team needs the time back.
• Own the intake process by monitoring incoming requests, triaging and tracking tickets, and partnering with the BI leader to prioritize the backlog.
• Gather and document requirements with departments across the business, including e-commerce, sales, manufacturing, supply chain, procurement and finance
• Write and send regular project updates to stakeholders and leadership.
• Follow up on dependencies and open items with internal teams and third parties so nothing stalls.
• Protect the team from ad hoc requests so they can stay focused on current priorities.
• Manage shifting priorities and deadlines. When executive requests take precedence, reset expectations with affected stakeholders tactfully and share revised timelines.
• Keep the team organized between cycles so each sprint or phase starts with a clear plan.

Background Qualifications

• Experience as a Project Manager, ideally supporting data, BI or analytics teams
• Strong working knowledge of Agile, with a practical and flexible approach to applying it
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including status reporting and stakeholder updates
• A highly organized self-starter who works independently with little direction
• Comfortable working with many stakeholders across business functions and a changing mix of priorities
• Understanding of data sources and systems and ability to ask the right questions during requirements gathering
• ERP experience and an understanding of how data differs across enterprise systems
• Manufacturing industry experience (valued over e-commerce)
• Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery) experience; AWS also works (Google Cloud Platform or AWS preferred over Azure)
• Domo experience, or another BI/visualization tool such as Power BI or Tableau
• Experience supporting a data platform or data warehouse modernization effort
• Enjoy moving between departments, topics and request types from day to day
