Data Scientist | Oakton, VA, United States | Hybrid This employer is seeking a highly motivated Data Scientist with an entrepreneurial spirit to join a rapidly growing team focused on critical National Security projects. The role offers the chance to work at the forefront of intelligence analysis and contribute to innovative solutions. • Build statistical and machine learning models, conduct natural language processing (NLP), and develop automated solutions for complex business challenges. • Construct and execute complex database search queries across multiple databases using SQL and API interfaces. • Perform web scraping and apply various techniques for processing unstructured data. • Leverage automation and machine learning to manage data, predict scenarios, and make data-driven recommendations. • Learn and leverage technologies including AWS and Git. • Must possess an active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance. • Bachelor's degree with 8-12 years of relevant experience, or Master's with 6-10 years, or Doctorate in a technical domain. • Proficiency in Python and strong SQL skills for data extraction are required. • Experience with supervised/unsupervised learning, NLP libraries (spaCy, Hugging Face, NLTK, TensorFlow), and frequentist statistics is essential. • Familiarity with computer science concepts, data architecture, statistical methods, and data visualization tools (Tableau, Plotly, Seaborn, Matplotlib) is necessary. • Competitive benefits package including PTO, holidays, 401K with company match, and parental leave. • Opportunities for technical upskilling, education, and training support. • Flexible scheduling options available. • Contribute to impactful projects critical to National Security.
