Job Description

Avanciers looking for an experienced Senior Data Scientist with strong expertise in Conversational AI, Agentic AI, NLU, and Data Science to develop and optimize intelligent conversational solutions for the banking domain.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Amazon Lex, Amazon Connect, or similar conversational AI platforms, along with expertise in GenAI, LLMs, experimentation, and intent/slot tuning.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize Agentic Conversational AI solutions for banking IVR applications.
• Work on Amazon Connect, Amazon Lex, Connect AI Agents, and Agentic Prompts or similar technologies.
• Perform intent classification, slot-filling, NLU tuning, and conversational flow optimization.
• Analyze interaction data, model outputs, and test results to improve conversational quality and accuracy.
• Conduct experiments, model evaluation, and performance tuning for intent recognition and dialogue behavior.
• Develop and optimize prompts, training data, and NLU assets using LLMs and GenAI techniques.
• Apply Python and data analytics to identify performance gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with technical leads and stakeholders to drive delivery and communicate analytical findings.
• Prepare performance reports, recommendations, and insights for project stakeholders.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, NLP, or a related field.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience building GenAI solutions.
• Strong experience in Conversational AI, Agentic AI, NLU, and chatbot/IVR solutions.
• Experience with Amazon Lex, Amazon Connect, or similar conversational AI platforms.
• Strong understanding of intent recognition, slot filling, intent classification, and dialogue optimization.
• Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, and modern NLP techniques.
• Strong Python, data analysis, experimentation, and model evaluation skills.
• Banking / Financial Services domain experience is mandatory.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment.
• Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience optimizing conversational AI solutions in production environments.
• Hands-on experience with Connect AI Agents, Agentic Prompts, fallback handling, and intent/slot tuning.
• Experience with LLM-assisted NLU evaluation and conversational performance optimization.
• Exposure to cloud-based AI/ML solutions and enterprise chatbot implementations.
• Experience working with onshore/offshore delivery teams.

Mandatory Skills: Conversational AI, Agentic AI, NLU, Banking Domain, Amazon Lex, Amazon Connect (or similar tools), and Data Science.
