Technical Writer

Description

We are looking for a Technical Writer / Training Specialist to support the development of learning materials and deliver effective instruction for a utility billing platform. The ideal person will combine strong facilitation skills with the ability to translate system processes into easy-to-follow guides and engaging training experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct stakeholder interviews and gather training requirements
• Create user guides, job aids, process documentation, and training materials
• Develop customer-facing instructions for the billing portal
• Deliver live, onsite training sessions to groups
• Collaborate with internal teams on instructional videos and communications
• Support training and user readiness throughout implementation

Requirements

• 3+ years of technical or systems training experience
• Experience with utility billing systems, customer information systems, or technical applications
• Direct VertexOne experience is highly preferred
• Strong writing, presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and PDF documentation
• SharePoint experience is preferred
