Job Description

Job Title: Chinese Bilingual Software Field Service Engineer
Location: Dallas, TX (Home-based when not in the field)
Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm Mon-Fri
FLSA: Non-Exempt Salary, Full-Time, Direct Hire
A leading provider of manufacturing automation equipment is seeking a customer-focused Software Support Engineer to provide technical assistance, software implementation, and user training for specialized software solutions. This role involves remote support and on-site customer visits, requiring strong problem-solving skills, a solid understanding of IT systems, and effective communication with customers.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support for proprietary software through phone, email, and remote troubleshooting. Install, configure, and maintain software applications and related systems at customer locations. Identify and resolve technical issues involving Windows operating systems, hardware, networks, and software performance. Support network setup, system connectivity, and integration with customer IT environments. Assist with the configuration and maintenance of Windows servers and database systems.

Conduct software training sessions and guide customers on system functionality and best practices. Coordinate technical projects involving software deployment, system upgrades, and infrastructure improvements. Maintain accurate records of technical issues, resolutions, and support procedures. Manage multiple customer requests, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely follow-up. Build positive customer relationships and provide professional, reliable technical service.

Qualifications

Proficiency in Mandarin and English, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages.
Experience in software support, technical troubleshooting, IT support, or a related technical field.
Hands-on experience supporting Windows environments, including Windows 10/11 and Windows Server.
Working knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, and basic infrastructure troubleshooting.
Experience in a technical support or customer-facing support role.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or at least five years of relevant work experience.
Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Ability to travel up to 50%, occasionally on short notice.
