Job Description

Project Manager – Atlassian / Data Hygiene & Cross-Functional Initiatives
Location: Littleton, CO
Onsite from Day 1, 5 days a week.
Salary - $95K a year + Medical + 2 weeks
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to own and drive cross-functional initiatives across Development, Product, and Operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing initiatives end-to-end, including scope, milestones, dependencies, risks, delivery metrics, stakeholder alignment, and overall execution.
This role requires someone who can run initiatives and drive outcomes, rather than primarily track project status or maintain project documentation.
The candidate should have strong experience working with Jira and Confluence, along with a solid understanding of Agile delivery, project governance, data quality, and cross-functional technology environments.
Key Responsibilities
Project & Initiative Management
  • Own and drive cross-functional technology initiatives from planning through completion.
  • Define project objectives, scope, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and success criteria.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, RAID logs, and status reporting.
  • Drive accountability across Development, Product, Operations, and other stakeholders.
  • Identify risks, issues, dependencies, and blockers and drive them toward resolution.
  • Track project progress against timelines, milestones, and agreed deliverables.
  • Ensure initiatives remain aligned with business and technical objectives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Act as the primary project interface across Development, Product, and Operations teams.
  • Coordinate dependencies across multiple teams and workstreams.
  • Facilitate project meetings, working sessions, and stakeholder reviews.
  • Communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and decisions to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Drive follow-ups and ensure ownership and accountability across teams.
Jira & Confluence
  • Use Jira and Confluence extensively for project execution, tracking, reporting, and documentation.
  • Maintain high-quality Jira data, including:
    • Issue ownership
    • Status
    • Priorities
    • Assignees
    • Dependencies
    • Backlog quality
    • Outdated or stale records
  • Support Jira/Confluence governance and standardization across teams.
  • Create and maintain Jira dashboards, reports, and project views.
  • Identify and resolve data-quality and consistency issues within project repositories.
Delivery Metrics & Reporting
  • Define and track project delivery metrics and KPIs.
  • Develop dashboards and reports to provide visibility into project health and progress.
  • Monitor milestones, dependencies, risks, and delivery performance.
  • Provide regular status updates and executive-level reporting.
  • Identify trends and potential delivery risks early and recommend corrective actions.
Process Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to improve project delivery processes and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Establish and improve project governance and operating processes.
  • Drive adoption of standardized Jira/Confluence practices.
  • Improve visibility, accountability, and data quality across project teams.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of Project Management experience in a technology/IT environment.
  • Proven experience owning and driving cross-functional initiatives end-to-end.
  • Experience working across Development, Product, and Operations teams.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience with project planning, dependency management, risk/issue management, and stakeholder management.
  • Experience defining and tracking delivery metrics/KPIs.
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to independently drive initiatives and hold multiple teams accountable for deliverables.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in telecom, technology, SaaS, or other complex enterprise environments.
  • Advanced Jira experience including JQL, workflows, dashboards, filters, and reporting.
  • Experience with Confluence governance and documentation standards.
  • Experience with Jira data quality/hygiene and backlog management.
  • PMP, CSM, SAFe, or similar project/program management certification.
  • Experience working with distributed/onshore-offshore technology teams.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a hands-on Technical Project Manager / Project Manager / Program Manager / Delivery Manager who has:
  • Personally owned technology initiatives rather than simply coordinating meetings.
  • Managed dependencies across Engineering/Development, Product, and Operations.
  • Driven projects from initiation through delivery.
  • Used Jira and Confluence as active project-management tools.
  • Managed risks, issues, dependencies, milestones, and delivery metrics.
  • Communicated directly with technical and business stakeholders.
  • Improved project processes, governance, and data quality.
