Job Description

Senior DevSecOps Eng Location: Chantilly, VA 20151 Clearance: Active TS/SCI with CI Poly (FS Poly may satisfy where accepted by the customer) Certifications: Required; Security+ CE at minimum where applicable, or other certification aligned to the assigned DoD 8140 work role

Position Summary
The DevSecOps Eng will design, automate, secure, and sustain CI/CD and DevSecOps capabilities for cloud-based applications and infrastructure. The role combines pipeline engineering, test automation, Infrastructure as Code, cloud architecture, containerization, security integration, and troubleshooting in a mission-focused DoD environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engineer, automate, and sustain secure CI/CD pipelines supporting iterative software, infrastructure, and application delivery.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code and automation using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, GitLab, Python, PowerShell, and Groovy.
  • Integrate automated testing, security controls, configuration management, and deployment gates into DevSecOps workflows.
  • Support cloud architecture, containerized environments, API gateways, catalogs, identity services, and platform components.
  • Troubleshoot complex pipeline, application, infrastructure, and integration issues and drive root-cause resolution.
  • Develop robust system and integration test plans and validate releases against technical and security requirements.
  • Decompose engineering work into Agile/Jira stories and contribute to sprint planning and delivery.
  • Maintain technical documentation and apply disciplined engineering rigor across the development lifecycle. Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree (STEM degree not required for Test Engineer positions).
  • Current DoD 8140 qualification/certification appropriate to the assigned DCWF work role and proficiency level. Acceptable examples for this position may include: CompTIA Security+ CE, CompTIA SecurityX (formerly CASP+), ISC2 CISSP, ISC2 CCSP, ISC2 CSSLP, CompTIA CySA+. Final acceptability is subject to the current DoD 8140 Qualification Matrix and prime contractor/customer work-role requirements.
  • Current and active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph. Mandatory at time of submission.
  • Expertise working with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), test automation and / or DevSecOps on iterative development projects.
  • Solid ability to demonstrate solid engineering rigor.
  • Demonstrated experience with system testing and validation.
  • Expert troubleshooting and solutioning skills.
  • Experience with Cloud architecture and system design (prefer AWS, but will consider Azure).
  • Strong documentation skills.
  • Familiar with Agile Methodologies.
  • Ability to accurately decompose tasks for Jira stories.
  • Developing integration interfaces using Python, PowerShell, and Groovy.
  • Experience and comfort with Basic DevOps Tooling (Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, GitLab, Active Directory, IdAM, and LDAP).
  • Familiarity with Containerized Development environments (Rancher, Kubernetes).
  • Expertise with creating robust test plans.
  • Ability to quickly get familiar with customer system security requirements and processes.
  • Preparation and maintenance of system components.
  • Experience with API Gateways, catalogs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) infrastructure and tools.
  • Experience with Cloud solution optimization.
  • Experience configuring and instrumenting Virtualization tools (Grafana, Splunk).
  • Experience with ServiceNow.
  • Other Cloud experience (Azure, Google, Oracle, IBM).
  • Integration of virtualized applications and application streaming or layering techniques.
  • Assist with leading and overseeing a total system perspective including technical understanding of relationships, dependencies and requirements of cloud services, infrastructure and security domains.
  • SharePoint admin systems engineering experience.
  • IBM Enterprise Lifcycle Management systems engineering experience.
  • TeamWork Cloud/Cameo systems engineering experience.
  • Tableau systems engineering experience.
