UKG TeleStaff Solution Consultant
· Duration: 6 months (with potential extension)
· Location: Houston, TX preferred; remote with periodic onsite visits
· Travel: As required to support Cheniere facilities and project workshops
Position Summary
Cheniere is seeking an experienced UKG TeleStaff Solution Consultant to provide expert advisory services for the ongoing implementation of UKG TeleStaff. This consultant will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) responsible for guiding configuration decisions, validating solution design, recommending industry best practices, and helping the project team successfully deploy TeleStaff in support of workforce scheduling, overtime management, callout processes, and workforce operations.
The consultant will work closely with Operations, HR, Payroll, IT, Security, and the implementation vendor to ensure the solution is configured correctly, aligns with business requirements, and follows proven UKG TeleStaff implementation practices. The role is advisory in nature but may also participate in solution reviews, workshops, testing support, and knowledge transfer activities. The consultant is expected to identify risks early, challenge assumptions, and recommend practical solutions based on prior TeleStaff implementation experience. The current implementation includes workforce scheduling, access authorities, pay codes, geofencing, testing activities, integrations, and deployment planning.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Advisory
· Serve as Cheniere''s independent UKG TeleStaff subject matter expert.
· Review current implementation approach and provide recommendations for optimal system configuration.
· Advise project leadership on TeleStaff architecture, deployment approach, and implementation risks.
· Recommend industry best practices for workforce scheduling, overtime assignments, callbacks, bidding, and staffing rules.
· Conduct health checks of the existing implementation and identify gaps or potential issues.
Configuration & Design Guidance
· Review and advise on:
o Organizational hierarchy setup
o Employee grouping structures
o Position and assignment configuration
o Authority and security models
o Scheduling rules and templates
o Bidding and fill-by rules
o Overtime and callback processes
o Callout workflows
o Work code structures
o Shift assignment models
· Provide recommendations on access control and role design.
Integration Advisory
· Review integrations between:
o UKG TeleStaff
o UKG Workforce Management
o Oracle/Payroll systems
o Timekeeping solutions
o Twilio notification services
· Advise on employee file management, pay code mapping, and data synchronization strategies.
· Identify integration risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
Testing & Deployment Support
· Review test strategies and test scenarios.
· Participate in design reviews and system walkthroughs.
· Support user acceptance testing (UAT) planning and defect resolution.
· Validate readiness for deployment.
· Advise on cutover and go-live planning activities.
Training & Knowledge Transfer
· Provide mentoring and guidance to Cheniere project team members.
· Review training materials and administrative documentation.
· Conduct workshops and knowledge transfer sessions.
· Help establish long-term support and governance processes.
Governance & Risk Management
· Participate in project status and steering committee meetings as needed.
· Provide independent assessments of implementation progress.
· Identify project risks, assumptions, constraints, and dependencies.
· Recommend corrective actions when implementation challenges arise.
Required Qualifications
· 7+ years of workforce management implementation experience.
· 5+ years of hands-on UKG TeleStaff experience.
· Multiple successful UKG TeleStaff implementations from requirements through go-live.
· Deep understanding of:
o Workforce scheduling
o Overtime equalization
o Callout management
o Staffing and bid management
o Public safety, industrial, utility, or 24x7 operations environments
· Experience integrating UKG TeleStaff with payroll and timekeeping systems.
· Experience facilitating requirements workshops and stakeholder discussions.
· Strong documentation and communication skills.
· Proven ability to work effectively with executive leadership, operations personnel, HR, payroll, and technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
· UKG TeleStaff certifications or equivalent experience.
· Experience with UKG Workforce Management (WFM).
· Experience with Twilio integrations and workforce notification solutions.
· Experience with Oracle Payroll, Oracle Time & Labor, or similar enterprise payroll systems.
· Experience within energy, industrial operations, LNG, manufacturing, utilities, or other 24x7 operational environments.
· Experience leading remediation efforts for troubled implementations.

The consultant will be expected to produce:
· TeleStaff implementation assessment report.
· Best practices and recommendations document.
· Configuration review findings.
· Integration review findings.
· Testing readiness assessment.
· Go-live readiness review.
· Risk and issue log recommendations.
· Knowledge transfer and support transition documentation.
