Linux/HPC Systems EDA Engineer (Semiconductor)

RESPONSIBILITIES

Kforce's client, a growing and established Semiconductor Company in the Chandler, AZ area is seeking an experienced Senior Linux Systems Administrator/HPC Infrastructure Engineer to support a high-performance computing environment used for semiconductor design. This hands-on role will focus on Linux, HPC, NetApp storage, IBM Spectrum LSF, Cadence EDA, networking, automation, and security. We are working directly with the hiring manager on this search assignment. This position is Hybrid Remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain RHEL/Rocky Linux servers and HPC compute environments
• Support NetApp, NFS, and GPFS/Spectrum Scale storage
• Manage and optimize IBM Spectrum LSF scheduling, queues, and cluster resources
• Install and support Cadence EDA tools including Virtuoso, Innovus, and Spectre
• Manage FlexLM/FlexNet licensing
• Automate Linux administration using Python, Bash, or Perl
• Support 100GbE, InfiniBand, VLANs, TCP/IP, routing, switching, and firewalls
• Monitor and troubleshoot compute, storage, network, and EDA performance
• Support security and compliance initiatives related to CMMC Level 2, NIST SP 800-171, and DISA STIG

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• At least 5+ years of Linux systems administration experience, preferably in HPC, semiconductor, engineering, or defense environments
• Hands-on NetApp experience
• Experience with IBM Spectrum LSF or similar HPC schedulers such as Slurm
• Experience supporting Cadence or other semiconductor EDA tools and FlexLM/FlexNet licensing
• Scripting experience with Python, Bash, and/or Perl
• Strong networking knowledge including InfiniBand, TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, and firewalls
• Strong RHEL/Rocky Linux administration and troubleshooting skills
• Familiarity with CMMC Level 2/NIST SP 800-171 preferred
• Preferred Certifications: RHCE/RHCSA, CCNP/CCNA, Security+, CISSP, or CCP

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
