Data Engineer with Security Clearance

This is a full-time on-site position at the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (MMAC) in Oklahoma City, OK .

WAAS is a satellite navigation aid developed by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to augment the Global Positioning System (GPS), with the goal of improving its accuracy, integrity, and availability. Citizenship/Permanent Residency Requirement All candidates must have the following to pass the Federal Background Investigation and obtain the FAA Public Trust security clearance.

• Be a US Citizen .
• Has resided in the US for three (3) consecutive years.
• RealID Driver's License/ID or current US Passport. Relocation Requirement Candidate must reside or be willing to relocate within a commutable distance to the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (MMAC) in Oklahoma City, OK . Education && Experience Requirement All non-US Degrees must have a US Equivalency Certificate provided by the candidate at the time of application .
• A Bachelors (ABET) degree in Engineering or related IT field, such as Physics, Aerospace, Chemistry, Computer Science, or Mathematics.
• Experience with NAS facilities, systems, and equipment is desired .
• 3 - 6 years of related work experience.

Required Skills

• Knowledge/proficiency in:
• Software design and implementation techniques using Python, MATLAB, Tableau and C.
• Computer operating systems, software, and hardware with proven ability to debug complex systems and conduct reviews, audits, and testing.
• Understanding of the importance of testing during all phases of the software development process.
• Ability to:
• Work independently, as well as on a team, in an agile environment.
• Research, troubleshoot and problem solve quickly.
• Learn on the job/willing to self-teach.
• Communicate effectively through verbal and written communication with high organization.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge in:
• Kalman filtering.
• UNIX and UNIX-like operating systems such as AIX and Linux . Essential Daily Job Duties
• Research, design, develop, test, evaluate, and maintain software and computer hardware systems in an integrated manner.
