Senior Data Engineer

Experience: 12+ Years
Job Type: W2 Contract 

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer with 12+ years of experience in data engineering, ETL/ELT, data integration, cloud platforms, and database technologies. The candidate will be responsible for developing scalable data pipelines, data migration solutions, and supporting enterprise data platforms.

Required Skills

  • 12+ years of experience in Data Engineering and ETL/ELT

  • Strong expertise in SQL, Python, and database development

  • Hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter, IICS/IDMC, SSIS, or similar ETL tools

  • Strong experience with Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake, Teradata, or DB2

  • Experience with Databricks, PySpark, and big data processing

  • Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform

  • Experience in data migration, integration, transformation, and data quality

  • Knowledge of ETL performance tuning, optimization, error handling, and reconciliation

  • Experience working with JSON, XML, CSV, Parquet, APIs, and other data formats

  • Experience with Git, CI/CD, and Agile/Scrum

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines.

  • Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data transformations.

  • Build data integration and migration solutions across multiple platforms.

  • Develop Python/PySpark-based data processing workflows.

  • Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks.

  • Optimize data pipelines and database performance.

  • Troubleshoot production data issues and provide root-cause analysis.

  • Work with cloud data platforms and modern data engineering technologies.

  • Collaborate with application, business, DBA, reporting, and cloud teams.

  • Participate in code reviews, technical design, testing, and Agile ceremonies.

Preferred Skills

  • Snowflake / Databricks

  • AWS / Azure / Google Cloud Platform

  • Informatica / IICS / IDMC

  • Python / PySpark

  • Data Warehousing and Dimensional Modeling

  • Kafka or other messaging technologies

  • Airflow or similar workflow orchestration tools

  • Terraform / DevOps / CI-CD
