Position Description: Safety and Training Coordinator Company: DiCarlo Distributors Inc. Location: Holtsville, New York Reports To: Operations Resource Manager Job Type: Full-Time
Position Overview DiCarlo Distributors Inc. is seeking a Safety and Training Coordinator to support safety, training, and regulatory compliance throughout our transportation and warehouse operations. This position works closely with leadership and employees to conduct safety audits, coordinate training, investigate incidents, maintain required documentation, and promote a strong workplace safety culture.
Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain workplace safety policies and procedures
• Support compliance with OSHA, FMCSA, food safety, and company requirements
• Conduct facility inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments
• Investigate accidents, injuries, and near miss incidents, and recommend corrective actions
• Coordinate and deliver safety and job specific training for new and current employees
• Maintain employee training, certification, and safety records
• Assist with emergency procedures, safety drills, meetings, and communications
• Monitor regulatory changes and recommend improvements to company safety programs

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
• At least two years of experience in safety, auditing, or training coordination preferred
• Experience in food distribution, transportation, logistics, or warehouse operations is a plus
• Knowledge of workplace and transportation safety requirements
• Familiarity with HACCP, SQF, or Good Manufacturing Practices is a plus
• Strong communication, presentation, organizational, and problem solving skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and training management systems
• OSHA 30 Hour, HACCP, SQF Practitioner, First Aid, or CPR certification is a plus

Working Environment This position includes work in both office and operational settings, including warehouse and cold storage areas. Occasional evening or weekend training sessions and regional travel may be required.
