Managed File Transfer (MFT) Administrator / Integration Analyst

Position Overview

We are seeking a Managed File Transfer (MFT) Administrator / Integration Analyst to support and enhance enterprise file transfer platforms, data movement solutions, and system integrations. This role is ideal for someone with experience supporting secure file transfer technologies, automation initiatives, and platform governance who enjoys troubleshooting complex issues and driving operational efficiencies.

The ideal candidate will have experience with managed file transfer platforms, secure data exchange protocols, Linux and Windows administration, and workflow automation. A strong focus on security, compliance, and continuous improvement is essential.

Required Qualifications

• 1-2+ years of experience supporting file transfer technologies such as SFTP, EDI, MFT, AS2, FTPS, and HTTPS.


• Experience with Cleo Harmony, Varonis, or similar governance, compliance, and file management platforms.


• Understanding of workflow automation, API integrations, and system-to-system data transfers.


• Strong foundation in Linux and Windows Server administration.


• Experience supporting Managed File Transfer (MFT) platforms such as Cleo, GoAnywhere, MOVEit, Ipswich, Axway, or similar solutions.


• Experience using file transfer clients such as FileZilla and WinSCP.


• Knowledge of Linux command line utilities and PowerShell scripting.


• Understanding of file-sharing protocols including SMB/CIFS and NFS.


• Familiarity with cloud storage technologies, including S3-based environments.


• Working knowledge of file server and NAS administration.


• Understanding of networking concepts, including IP addressing, ports, firewalls, routing, switching, and load balancing.


• Knowledge of SSL/TLS certificates, SSH keys, certificate authorities, encryption standards, and security best practices.


• Experience with virtualization and container technologies.


• Understanding of authentication and identity management technologies, including Active Directory, LDAP, and SAML.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Bash, PowerShell, Java, or other scripting languages.


• Exposure to Oracle or SQL database administration.


• Experience working in regulated or compliance-driven environments, including PCI or similar governance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and support enterprise file transfer platforms across Linux and Windows environments.


• Perform platform maintenance activities including upgrades, patching, and system monitoring.


• Manage file transfer accounts, access controls, security settings, and governance processes.


• Support secure data movement solutions, application integrations, and automation initiatives.


• Troubleshoot file transfer failures, connectivity issues, and data movement problems.


• Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and external business partners to ensure secure and reliable integrations.


• Support security hardening efforts and maintain compliance with organizational standards.


• Develop automation solutions, reporting capabilities, and monitoring processes to improve platform visibility and operational efficiency.


• Create and maintain technical documentation, standards, procedures, and best practices.


• Design and implement process improvements that increase platform reliability, scalability, and performance.
