Position Summary
The Inventory Specialist plays a critical role in supporting sales and business operations by gathering, validating, and analyzing inventory and pricing data. This position is responsible for extracting information from quoting systems and spreadsheets, ensuring data accuracy, and providing actionable insights that support customer renewals, quoting activities, and revenue analysis.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and data security.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, validate, and cleanse inventory and pricing data from multiple sources.
- Review sales contracts and related documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of inventory and renewal information.
- Analyze collected data and present findings in a clear, concise, and business-friendly format.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and implement process improvements and best practices.
- Monitor and identify trends, providing insights and recommendations to leadership.
- Prepare and distribute Revenue Analysis (RA) reports.
- Create, review, and update customer quotes while correcting discrepancies as needed.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and confidentiality requirements, including customer-sensitive information.
- Continuously develop product, process, and industry knowledge to support business objectives.
- Support operational excellence initiatives and contribute to team performance goals.
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Experience working with spreadsheets, databases, and large data sets.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Strong mathematical and quantitative reasoning skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in data analysis or reporting roles.
- Accounting or finance-related experience.
- Experience supporting sales, quoting, or contract management processes.
