Sr Security Engineer

job summary:

Join our Security Operations team as a Security Engineering Specialist acting as the central operational bridge between automated security scanning platforms and active product development teams. In this role, you will analyze system architecture, eliminate false positive alerts, validate exploitability, and oversee AI-assisted automated patch generation to ensure fast, secure code delivery.

responsibilities:

• Review and triage automated vulnerability scanner outputs across source code and endpoint environments.
• Create minimal reproduction harnesses and test environments to confirm vulnerability exploitability.
• Perform threat modeling reviews, mapping trust boundaries and data flows for enterprise microservices.
• Review, test, and validate automated/agentic code patches for regression risk, edge-case bugs, and security compliance before passing to product owners.
• Coordinate end-to-end fix rollouts with engineering leads to ensure SLA-compliant resolution.

qualifications:

3+ years of experience in Application Security, Vulnerability Management, or Software Engineering with a focus on security.

Strong proficiency in writing and reading at least two core programming languages: C++, Go, Java, or Python.

Solid understanding of architectural trust boundaries, data flows, and security frameworks (e.g., STRIDE, OWASP Top 10, CWE, CVE).

Hands-on experience creating local test harnesses and unit/integration tests to evaluate code diffs.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience working alongside automated code remediation tools or AI-driven development systems.

Background in fuzz testing, mocking service dependencies, or building PoC scripts.

Strong cross-functional communication skills to partner effectively with software development teams.
