Caregiver / Nanny – West Seneca, NY
A loving family in West Seneca, NY 14334 is seeking an experienced, highly attentive nanny or pediatric caregiver to provide specialized care for their infant daughter, who was born with a congenital heart defect (Tetralogy of Fallot / DiGeorge syndrome). The family is preparing for her upcoming discharge from the hospital and looking to establish dedicated care as the mother transitions back to work.
Schedule & Start Date:
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM (approx. 47.5 hours/week)
- Start Date: TBD within the next few weeks (dependent on hospital discharge date)
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized infant care, including diapering, soothing, and general daily support
- Administer required medications accurately and on schedule
- Manage feeding tube usage and upkeep
- Maintain a clean, calm, and safe environment tailored to medical needs
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Must be licensed, certified, or clinically trained to administer medications and utilize feeding tubes
- Current CDPAP (Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program) registration, or active willingness to sign up through CDPAP
- Prior experience in pediatric care, infant care, or supporting medically complex infants
- Strong reliability, communication skills, and attention to detail
- CPR and First Aid certifications strongly preferred
Compensation:
- Rate: $26.00-$28.00 per hour
- Note: The family plans to utilize CDPAP for long-term coverage, but will pay out of pocket at this rate in the interim if discharge occurs prior to CDPAP approval.
