Snowflake Developer with DPT Experience
Remote
Contract W2 / 1099
Position: Snowflake Developer DPT Experience
Role Summary:
We are looking for a Snowflake Developer with strong DPT (Data Pipeline/Development & Transformation) experience to design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions using Snowflake. The candidate should have strong SQL, ETL/ELT, data transformation, and cloud data warehouse experience.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain Snowflake data warehouse solutions and data pipelines.
  • Design and implement ETL/ELT processes for data ingestion and transformation.
  • Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and data transformations.
  • Work extensively with DPT processes, including data extraction, transformation, validation, and loading.
  • Build and maintain scalable data pipelines using Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, and Dynamic Tables.
  • Perform data migration and integration from multiple source systems into Snowflake.
  • Optimize Snowflake queries, warehouses, and data models for performance and cost.
  • Implement data quality checks and troubleshoot data pipeline issues.
  • Work with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, architects, business analysts, and QA teams.
  • Follow best practices for data security, governance, and access control.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support.
Required Skills:
  • Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake.
  • Strong SQL development experience.
  • Hands-on DPT / Data Pipeline Transformation experience.
  • Experience with ETL/ELT development and data warehousing.
  • Experience with Python or scripting.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling and database concepts.
  • Experience with tools such as DBT, Informatica, Matillion, Talend, or Azure Data Factory.
  • Experience with Git and CI/CD processes.
Preferred Skills:
  • SnowPro certification.
  • Experience with AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform.
  • Knowledge of Apache Airflow, Databricks, Spark, or Kafka.
  • Experience with large-scale data migration and performance tuning.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.
