Job Description

  • Personality type – Thrives in a Startup world (think in real time / wearing many hats / adding value always / go with the flow / contributing always to success)
  • Some clinical data wrangling capabilities (clinical and hospital site data sources may include OR data, EHR data, EMR data, device data, registry data, etc)
  • SQL experience – moderate level data queries
  • MUST HAVE Clinical experience
  • Someone who can get into the weeds and stays very positive
  • Excel heavy environment / internal Data Visualization tool / Google Docs/Sheets
  • Mostly East coast United States or Central United States
FULLY REMOTE other than a few meetings per year and client pays travel
**This role starts part time (20-25 hours per week) and will ramp up in hours and after 3 months they will look to convert to perm**

Key Responsibilities
 
Data Analysis & Management

  • Manage, analyze, and interpret real-world clinical data ingested from multiple sources and clinical sites
  • Implement and support procedures for effective data ingestion, transformation, reconciliation, visualization, and analysis
  • Maintain databases and data systems required to support project, departmental, and organizational needs

 
Data Quality & Governance

  • Monitor, validate, and maintain data pipelines to ensure accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and data integrity
  • Perform routine data quality checks and investigate data anomalies or discrepancies
  • Ensure adherence to data governance, privacy, and security standards

 
Reporting & Visualization

  • Build and maintain data visualizations and dashboards for diverse audiences, including Medtech clients, clinical sites, and internal stakeholders
  • Generate accurate, audience-specific reports summarizing key findings, insights, and opportunities for improvement
  • Insights & Stakeholder Communication
  • Develop data-driven insights to support improvements in industry products, clinical care operations, and patient care
  • Communicate findings clearly to a wide range of stakeholders, including Medtech clients, clinicians, clinical staff, and healthcare administrators

 
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Process Improvement

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, operations, analytics, and clinical teams to improve data ingestion, management, and reporting processes
  • Document data processes, definitions, and workflows to support scalability, compliance, and knowledge sharing
  • Identify and implement opportunities to automate manual data processes and improve operational efficiency

 
Professional Development & Organizational Support

  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data analytics and healthcare data
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 
Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in data operations, data analytics, or a similar role
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases
  • Experience with data validation, reconciliation, and data quality assurance processes
  • Proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills
