APIGEE Senior developer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Apigee Developer to design, develop, secure, deploy, and manage APIs using Google Apigee. The candidate should have strong experience in API proxy development, API security, traffic management, troubleshooting, and integration with backend systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain API proxies using Apigee X or Apigee Edge.

• Configure API proxy flows, shared flows, and reusable policies.

• Implement API security using OAuth 2.0, JWT, API keys, and TLS/SSL.

• Configure policies such as:

  • VerifyAPIKey

  • OAuthV2

  • VerifyJWT and GenerateJWT

  • SpikeArrest and Quota

  • AssignMessage and RaiseFault

  • ServiceCallout

  • ExtractVariables and JSONThreatProtection

• Develop request and response transformations using JavaScript, XSLT, JSON, and XML.

• Integrate APIs with backend services, REST endpoints, and SOAP services.

• Configure routing, target endpoints, conditional flows, and fault handling.

• Implement caching, rate limiting, and traffic management.

• Deploy APIs across development, testing, UAT, and production environments.

• Troubleshoot API failures using Apigee Trace, logs, analytics, and monitoring tools.

• Work with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools for API deployments.

• Collaborate with architects, backend developers, DevOps teams, and QA engineers.
