Based in Waltham, MA, this hybrid Senior Software Engineer role serves as the Platform Engineering lead in the United States, combining backend software engineering, cloud infrastructure, platform strategy, and developer experience. The organization is making significant investments in cloud modernization, developer productivity, and AI-powered software development, creating a unique opportunity for an engineer passionate about building scalable internal platforms using Java and Kotlin.
This is a highly visible role where you will partner directly with engineering teams to shape the future of software delivery. You will influence how AI is adopted throughout the development lifecycle, improve the tools and infrastructure developers use every day, and drive platform initiatives that help engineering teams build, deploy, and scale software more efficiently. Required Skills & Experience

• Strong professional experience building backend applications with Java and/or Kotlin
• Experience designing and operating cloud-native platforms and infrastructure
• Background in platform engineering, developer productivity, or developer experience initiatives
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines, automation, and software delivery best practices
• Knowledge of modern cloud architecture, infrastructure-as-code, and scalable distributed systems
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, system design, and operational excellence
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and drive adoption of new technologies across engineering teams
