IT Project Manager - Security

Role Summary
This position involves leading IT security and cloud migration projects within a dynamic enterprise environment. The project manager will oversee multiple cross-functional initiatives aimed at securing cloud infrastructure, managing project delivery, and aligning technical solutions with business objectives. The role requires extensive experience in project management, IT security, and cloud environments to ensure successful implementation and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Plan, initiate, and execute complex IT security and cloud migration projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and security standards.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, cost, and resource requirements, and monitor progress throughout project lifecycle.
• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and cross-departmental stakeholders to facilitate effective resource allocation and issue resolution.
• Manage project budgets, identify risks, and implement contingency plans to mitigate potential setbacks.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for project status updates, risk assessments, and stakeholder communication.
• Lead diverse project teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring adherence to project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
• Oversee vendor selection, proof of concept, testing, and go-live processes for cloud and security projects.
• Ensure projects meet security standards, compliance requirements, and technical specifications, including security architecture and risk management protocols.
• Liaise between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of requirements and deliverables.
• Drive continuous improvement of project management practices and tools to enhance efficiency and delivery quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in IT security and compliance fields.
• Over 5 additional years of professional experience in IT, with a focus on security, cloud environments, or related domains.
• Demonstrable experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS, and cybersecurity concepts including network security, encryption, IAM, and data protection.
• Certifications such as PMP, CISSP, CCSP, or CCSK are preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in project management tools like MS Project, Azure DevOps (TFS), Visio, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with SDLC in cloud platforms and an understanding of industry security standards and frameworks.
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, dynamic environments, with excellent decision-making capabilities.

Publishing Pay Range: $100.00 - $105.00 hourly

This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
