As an Automotive Sales Consultant at Steve Schmitt Ford, you will play a key role in delivering an exceptional car-buying experience to our customers in Highland, IL. You will use your passion for cars and strong customer service skills to guide buyers through the sales process and help them find the perfect vehicle to meet their needs. Responsibilities
Greet and assist customers promptly and professionally as they enter the dealership. Conduct product presentations and demonstrate vehicle features and benefits to customers.

Understand customer needs and recommend suitable vehicles to meet those needs. Negotiate prices, terms, and financing options to close sales while ensuring customer satisfaction. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of inventory, pricing, and promotions. Follow up with customers post-sale to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business. Collaborate with the sales team and management to meet or exceed monthly sales targets. Requirements
Proven experience in automotive sales or a related customer-facing role. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently. Knowledge of automotive products and current industry trends preferred. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends as needed. Benefits

Assist customers in selecting a vehicle by asking questions and listening carefully to their responses
Explain product performance, application, and benefits to prospective customers
Describe all optional equipment/products available for customer purchase
Perform high-quality, professional, and knowledgeable presentation and demonstration of new/used vehicles
Learn to overcome objections, close sales, and perform all other steps of the sales process in accordance with company standards
Provide training and support to the sales staff and assist in closing deals
Requirements
Previous dealership and management experience a huge plus
Leadership skills with a passion for training fellow employees
Enthusiasm with high energy throughout the sales workday
Goal-oriented, friendly personality, especially when negotiating pricing
Attention to detail and problem solving capabilities
Quality customer service, communication, computer and basic math skills
Clean driving record & valid driver’s license
Willing to submit to a drug screen prior to employment
