#Position Overview
Seeking a skilled Backend Developer with Golang (8–10 years overall experience) for a 6+ month contract opportunity located in Tampa, FL (Hybrid setup). 
The ideal candidate will possess 6+ years of hands-on Golang engineering expertise to lead the design, architecture, and maintenance of high-performance microservices and APIs. 
Working across cross-functional product, frontend, and DevOps teams, you will optimize PostgreSQL database operations, enforce code quality, and implement cloud-native distributed architecture.

#Key Responsibilities
* Golang Microservices & API Engineering: Design, build, and maintain high-performance microservices, RESTful APIs, and gRPC services using Golang.
* Database Design & Optimization: Work extensively with PostgreSQL—optimizing complex queries, managing database indexing, and ensuring high availability and fault tolerance.
* Distributed Architecture & Messaging: Architect scalable, event-driven distributed systems using message brokers such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
* Cloud & DevOps Integration: Containerize applications using Docker, manage deployments in Kubernetes, and integrate automated unit/integration tests into CI/CD pipelines across cloud platforms.
* Code Quality, Security & Leadership: Enforce best practices for code quality, exceptional error/exception handling, security, and performance tuning; mentor junior engineers and conduct technical code reviews.
* Frontend Collaboration: Partner closely with frontend engineers (using TypeScript, React, or Node.js) to ensure seamless API integration.

#Required Qualifications
* Overall & Core Experience: 8–10 years of overall IT/Software Engineering experience with 6+ years of dedicated, hands-on Golang development experience.
* Database Mastery: Strong expertise in PostgreSQL database design, indexing, and query performance optimization.
* API & System Design: Proven expertise building RESTful APIs, gRPC services, microservices architecture, and message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
* Cloud & Containerization: Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and automated CI/CD pipelines across cloud environments.
* Added Advantages: Exposure to TypeScript, React, or Node.js on the frontend; technical leadership or mentorship experience.
