Backend Engineer_Only Local to Texas

One of our clients is seeking a Backend Engineer in Texas. This is 100% Remote and the candidate should be in Texas. Please share your resumes ASAP.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable backend services and data pipelines to support core analytics and engineering workflows.
• Lead the evaluation, integration, and architecture of backend compute solutions, specifically advising on and implementing Palantir Foundry Compute Modules and/or AWS containerized infrastructure (ECS/Fargate).
• Build, containerize (Docker), and maintain custom backend applications, APIs, and microservices with clean, maintainable, and thoroughly tested code.
• Collaborate with cross-functional data and engineering teams to translate complex business and mission requirements into performant technical designs.
• Establish CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and automated deployment strategies for cloud and platform environments.
• Maintain thorough technical documentation, system architecture diagrams, and interface specifications.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, and technical demos.
• Troubleshoot complex runtime issues, performance bottlenecks, and infrastructure integration hurdles independently.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Strong backend programming proficiency in Python, TypeScript, or Go, with a demonstrated ability to architect solutions and write production-grade code independently.
• Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and container orchestration/cloud deployments (AWS ECS, Fargate, or EKS).
• Prior experience with or strong aptitude to quickly master Palantir Foundry infrastructure, particularly Compute Modules, transforms, and platform integrations.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design, database modeling (SQL and NoSQL), and microservice architecture.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment, utilizing tools such as Jira and Confluence for task tracking and documentation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate technical trade-offs and advise team members on architectural best practices.
• Self-motivated, proactive problem-solver comfortable operating autonomously in a fast-paced development environment.
