Job Description

Ascentec Engineering is hiring! We are seeking a highly motivated People Operations Assistant who is eager to gain real-world experience in office administration, events, and executive support. This role offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment while contributing meaningfully to our People & Culture team, leadership team, and company-wide operations. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to get their "foot in the door" for an HR career! This position is on site (not remote/not hybrid) and not eligible for Visa sponsorship or transfer of Visa sponsorship.

Support a wide range of administrative, People & Culture (HR), and operational activities that contribute to efficient office management and employee engagement. Assist with planning and coordinating company events, including parties, sales meetings, and strategic retreats. Support event logistics and day-of execution to help create memorable, engaging experiences.

Visitor & Front Desk Engagement

Maintain inventory and logs to ensure everything stays up to date.

Office & Administrative Support

Maintain office supply inventory and ensure common areas stay organized.
Assist the President and leadership team with administrative tasks and small projects.

Travel Coordination

~ Support travel arrangements for employees and candidates.
Help prepare and send company mailings such as holiday cards, thank-you notes, and employee anniversary recognitions.

Scheduling Assistance

~ New Hire & HR Support:
Prepare training materials and orientation packets for new employees. Support HR and executive leadership with special short-term projects and occasional errands. Customer Focus, Employee Growth, Trust and Integrity, Operational Excellence, and Acts Like an Owner. Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree highly preferred or commensurate job experience. Excellent customer service and written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
