Senior Mobile App Developer (Cross-Platform iOS & Android)_Remote

About the Role

• We are looking for a technically strong Mobile App Developer to join our team and take ownership of an existing cross-platform application built on the Ionic Framework with React JS.
• The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience diagnosing and resolving critical production issues particularly app crashes and performance/slowness problems across both Android and iOS platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve app crashes, memory leaks, and performance bottlenecks in a live production mobile application.
• Analyze crash logs, stack traces, and performance profiling data (Android Studio Profiler, Xcode Instruments, Firebase Crashlytics, Sentry, etc.) to identify root causes.
• Optimize app startup time, rendering performance, and responsiveness across both Android and iOS.
• Maintain and enhance the existing Ionic + React JS codebase, ensuring consistent behavior across platforms.
• Work with native plugins/bridges (Capacitor/Cordova) to resolve platform-specific issues.
• Conduct code reviews, refactor problematic modules, and implement best practices for stability and performance.
• Collaborate with QA, backend, and DevOps teams to reproduce, triage, and fix defects.
• Set up or improve monitoring, logging, and crash-reporting mechanisms for ongoing visibility into app health.
• Document root causes and fixes for recurring issues to prevent regression.

Required Skills & Experience

• mobile app development experience with Ionic Framework (Capacitor and/or Cordova).
• Strong proficiency in React JS (hooks, state management, component lifecycle).
• Proven experience building and maintaining cross-platform apps for Android and iOS.
• Solid understanding of native build tools: Xcode, Android Studio, Gradle, CocoaPods.
• Hands-on experience with performance profiling and crash debugging tools (Crashlytics, Sentry, Instruments, Android Profiler, LogCat).
• Experience identifying and fixing memory leaks, thread/UI blocking issues, and slow rendering.
• Familiarity with native plugin development/integration (Capacitor plugins or Cordova plugins).
• Strong grasp of JavaScript/TypeScript fundamentals.
• Experience with REST APIs, state management libraries (Redux/Context API), and offline data handling.
• Version control (Git) and CI/CD pipeline familiarity for mobile builds.
