Senior Software Engineer - Back End III

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Senior Back End Software Engineer for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier BANKING clients in Cincinnati, OH . Hybrid schedule
Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain software applications throughout the full application development lifecycle.
• Analyze business and technical requirements to develop scalable, reliable, and efficient software solutions.
• Perform software analysis, code reviews, debugging, troubleshooting, and system risk assessments.
• Design and implement object-oriented software solutions using industry best practices and design patterns.
• Develop and maintain front-end user interfaces that provide a positive user experience and meet accessibility standards.
• Conduct software testing, quality assurance, and validation activities to ensure application reliability and performance.
• Optimize application performance through tuning, automation, usability improvements, and system balancing.
• Integrate new applications and components with existing enterprise systems and platforms.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, standards, and support processes.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that improve system functionality, scalability, and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with organizational development standards, security requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
• Support localization and globalization initiatives to enable software deployment across multiple regions and languages.

Required Skills :

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.

• 5+ years of experience in software application development and support.
• Proficiency in the Java programming language, Springboot, and microservices.
• Strong background in object-oriented analysis and design (OOA/OOD).
• Experience performing code analysis, software reviews, and troubleshooting complex technical issues.
• Experience working within the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, development, testing, deployment, and support.
• Experience integrating applications with existing systems and third-party technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to support software maintenance, enhancements, and production issue resolution.

Preferred Skills :

• Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, or similar technologies.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and object-oriented programming principles.
• Experience with front-end development frameworks and user interface design.
• Knowledge of software testing methodologies, quality assurance processes, and automated testing tools.
• Experience with performance optimization, application monitoring, and system diagnostics.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Experience with software modeling, simulation, and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of localization, globalization, and multi-language application development practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
