IT Security Specialist III

Location: Chandler, Arizona (Onsite)

Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned and motivated Senior Database Security Engineer. This role focuses on the automation of database activity monitoring solutions for cloud-based databases, including AWS and Azure. The ideal individual is dynamic, a quick learner, an out-of-the-box thinker, proactive, and capable of working independently as well as within a team. This position requires adherence to a hybrid schedule with a minimum of three days per week onsite.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement database activity monitoring solutions for cloud environments.
• Utilize Python, shell scripting, and Linux for automation and development tasks.
• Work with REST APIs, AWS RDS, Postgres, and MSSQL databases.
• Apply database security concepts such as native audit logging, encryption in-transit and at-rest, entitlements, and password vaulting.
• Operate within a scrum framework and utilize agile practices with tools like Jira and CICD pipelines.

Required Qualifications

Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience as a SQL Server Engineer or in a similar database developer role is required.

Technical Skills:

• In-depth expertise in Python, shell scripting, and Linux.
• Proficiency with REST API, AWS RDS, Postgres, and MSSQL.
• Knowledge of database security concepts including native audit logging and encryption.
• Familiarity with scrum framework values, agile practices, and tools such as Jira and CICD.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Guardium or similar activity monitoring tools.
• Proficiency with PowerShell and Ansible.
