Experience Required: 5+ Years Product Management (Data Platforms, Enterprise SaaS, CRM Enablement)

Position Summary
Client is seeking an accomplished product leader with a track record of turning business demand from multiple commercial functions into a well-managed data product backlog. As part of the Strategy, Platforms & Transformation (SPT) organization, this role supports the strategy, development, and delivery of priority data activation and CRM capabilities across the US CRM ecosystem.
The Associate Director will lead end-to-end delivery of assigned data-centric capabilities (platform/data integrations, data ingestion, transformation, unified customer profile management, and CRM workflow enablement) while serving as the primary bridge between business, peer SPT, and technology teams.
Core Requirement: Deep, hands-on knowledge of Salesforce Data 360 (Data Cloud)—including its capabilities, data model, architecture, and data activation workflows—is essential for success in this role.
Key Accountabilities
  • Product Area Ownership: Lead end-to-end delivery of assigned data-centric capabilities, unified customer profile management, and CRM workflows from discovery through release, hypercare, enhancements, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Requirements & Data Modeling: Translate complex business needs into clearly scoped epics, user stories, and delivery plans. Analyze operational data sources to support identity resolution, schema design decisions, and data modeling in collaboration with data engineers and architects.
  • Audience Activation: Partner with scrum teams and data analysts to design and validate segments, calculated insights, and data activation strategies aligned with business needs.
  • Scrum Team Leadership & Agile Delivery: Lead a dedicated scrum team through sprint ceremonies, backlog grooming, and capacity planning. Remove blockers, manage dependencies, and ensure predictable, high-quality release execution.
  • Backlog Management & Prioritization: Maintain an actionable, prioritized backlog. Continuously balance platform capacity, strategic alignment, and cross-functional trade-offs in coordination with the Director.
  • Cross-Functional Stakeholder Alignment: Coordinate across CRM product managers, architecture, analytics, privacy/legal, and commercial/medical stakeholders to ensure release readiness and platform alignment.
  • Impact Measurement & Adoption: Define KPIs, track use case coverage, monitor adoption across CRM functions, and partner with training/communications teams to ensure successful capability adoption.
Required Qualifications & Background
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required; Master of Science (MS) or MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of product management experience with a strong track record in data platforms, enterprise SaaS, or CRM enablement product roles.
  • Fluent English (written and verbal).
Core Technical & Domain Competencies
  • Salesforce Data 360 (Data Cloud): Deep, hands-on experience with Salesforce Data Cloud architecture, data models, identity resolution, and activation patterns.
  • CRM Ecosystem Fluency: Comprehensive understanding of the CRM landscape across Sales, Marketing, and Service (Salesforce Agentforce, Marketing Cloud, Health Cloud, Core Platform, and Veeva).
  • Data Platform & AI Architecture: Understanding of modern data platforms, data lakes, and AI integrations (Salesforce Data Cloud, Veeva, Snowflake, OpenAI).
  • Scrum & Agile Leadership: Demonstrated experience managing a scrum team end-to-end from roadmap definition through sprint delivery.
  • Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to influence without authority across matrixed product organizations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Pharmaceuticals, Life Sciences, or a similarly regulated, data-intensive industry.
  • Familiarity with cross-product integration patterns (APIs, data pipelines, activation workflows).
  • Agile / Scrum Certification (CSPO, PSPO, SAFe POPM).
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Value Delivered: Measurable outcomes for delivered use cases (time saved, data quality improvements, increased engagement).
  • Backlog Health & Delivery Quality: Actionable user stories, transparent dependency management, predictable release timelines, and post-release stability.
  • Use Case Coverage & Adoption: Strong adoption rates and stakeholder CSAT scores across commercial CRM functions.
  • Team & Operational Rigor: Positive team velocity/morale and maintenance of decision logs and architectural documentation.
