Lead Business Analyst -REMOTE !! -Use Case, User Stories Jira

My direct client is seeking a Lead Business Analyst (8+ years of experience) with a strong technical background to embed within a dedicated product team. In this role, you will partner closely with Product Owners and Engineering teams to shape products for current sprints and future roadmaps. You will be responsible for requirement gathering, creating detailed use cases, translating complex technical features into actionable user stories, and managing up to 10 user stories simultaneously.

PLEASE NOTE 
Location: Remote, local to DMV gets first considerations. Candidates willing to come onsite 1x per week (every wed) gets even more considerations (onsite is not required). If not DMV, (Washington DC, Maryland Virginia) must be in an approved state: DC, MD, VA, WV, NC, PA, DE, NY, NJ, TX, FL. 

100% remote. Local to DC is preferred + coming onsite 1-2x per month for collaboration purposes. Will consider outside of DMV if the candidate is A+ - approved states only if outside of DMV
Interview process: 1-2 rounds of video interviews. If local, will have to comes onsite for F2F
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate across teams with Product Owners and Software Engineers to define product features, refine backlogs, and map out future product roadmaps.
Gather and translate requirements into clear, highly technical use cases and user stories within an Agile sprint cycle.
Manage delivery velocity by actively driving and maintaining up to 10 technical user stories concurrently for a dedicated product team.
Bridge the gap between business intent and technical execution, ensuring developers have the clarity needed to build and test features efficiently.

Required Qualifications
Experience: 8+ years of professional experience operating at a Lead Business Analyst level.
Technical Literacy: A proven technical background with the ability to understand complex architectures, systems, and concepts (e.g., AWS, Java application frameworks, software testing methodologies).
Tooling: Expert-level proficiency with Jira for story tracking, backlog grooming, and sprint planning.
Preferred Qualifications
Industry Experience: A background in Healthcare Insurance is a major plus.
Tooling: Experience utilizing Aha! for product roadmapping and strategy
