Job Description
The Network Engineer will support Facilities-Related Control Systems (FRCS) by providing engineering, integration, and operational support for networking devices, firewalls, and Regional Monitoring Services. This role plays a key part in ensuring network reliability, security compliance, and successful data transmission between FRCS and monitoring platforms. The position requires a working knowledge of ICS/OT protocols and secure network design practices within DoD environments.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide engineering support for FRCS network devices including switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Maintain and manage firewall rule sets and access control lists to ensure secure communication between FRCS and Regional Monitoring Services.
- Conduct inspections, surveys, and assessments of FRCS networks to support regional monitoring integration.
- Develop, update, and execute SOPs and checklists for FRCS Monitoring Services operations.
- Support Industrial Control System (ICS) and Operational Technology (OT) network protocols including BACnet, SCADA, and other control system standards.
- Apply DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to network devices and conduct thorough vulnerability analyses.
- Manage Plan of Actions & Milestones (POA&Ms) and contribute to Risk Management Framework (RMF) documentation and compliance.
- Support USMC Authorization & Accreditation (A&A) efforts using tools like MCCAST v2, DFIA, and CNSSI 1253.
- Work closely with cybersecurity engineers to ensure proper configuration and integration of Dragos platform monitoring systems.
- Travel occasionally to other MCIEAST installations for inspections, surveys, and on-site support.
Preferred Certifications:
- CCNA or CCNP
- Security+ (CompTIA)
- ITILv4 Foundations
- RMF Training (USMC-specific)
- Microsoft Certifications (Server/Networking)
- ICS-VLP Certificate 210W-01 – 10
- Cyber Monitoring Services Platform Certified User
Additional Information:
- On-site role at Camp Lejeune, NC, with some travel to support other MCIEAST locations
- Must be eligible for Secret clearance (Tier 3 Background Investigation)
