AWS Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) - Remote - W2 Contract

Position: AWS Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)
Location: Remote

Duration: 6 Months Contract-to-Hire

W2 Contract

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or Site Reliability Engineering
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Services (EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudFormation)
• Expertise in Kubernetes (EKS), Docker, and Microservices
• Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or CloudFormation
• CI/CD using Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline, or GitHub Actions
• Strong scripting experience with Python and Bash
• Experience with production support, incident management, RCA, and automation

SRE & Observability Skills

• Monitoring & Alerting: CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK Stack, Splunk
• Define and manage SLIs, SLOs, and Error Budgets
• Incident Response, On-call Support, Postmortems, and Root Cause Analysis
• Capacity Planning, Performance Tuning, and High Availability
• Automated Remediation and Runbook Automation
• Reliability Engineering and Production Operations

Preferred Skills

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer
• Multi-account AWS environments and Landing Zones
• AWS Organizations & Service Control Policies (SCP)
• GitOps (ArgoCD/FluxCD)
• Service Mesh (Istio/Linkerd)
• FinOps, Cloud Cost Optimization, and AWS Security Best Practices
