IT Asset & License Manager

Leidos is seeking an Asset Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of IT hardware and software across mission-critical programs. In this role, you will maintain accurate inventories, manage licenses, support audits, and ensure compliance with customer, security, and contractual requirements. You will collaborate closely with engineering, procurement, and program teams to align asset availability with project needs, optimize cost, and reduce risk. Ideal candidates bring strong analytical skills, experience with asset/CMDB tools, knowledge of ITIL practices, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end lifecycle of IT hardware and software assets across programs
• Maintain accurate inventories and asset records in asset management/CMDB tools
• Manage software licenses to ensure compliance and optimize utilization and cost
• Coordinate with procurement, finance, and engineering on asset forecasting and purchasing
• Support internal and external audits, ensuring documentation and tracking meet requirements
• Analyze asset data and produce reports to guide budgeting and optimization decisions
• Implement and refine asset management processes aligned with ITIL best practices
• Ensure adherence to security, contractual, and customer-specific asset controls
• Support onboarding and decommissioning of assets, including disposal and data sanitization
• Collaborate with program teams to ensure assets are available to meet mission timelines
