DataHaven Solutions | Subcontractor to Parsons Location: Fort Meade, Maryland — R&E Building Work Arrangement: Fully on-site; no remote or hybrid flexibility Security Clearance: Full-Scope Security Clearance Required Experience: 10+ years with a bachelor's degree or 15+ years without a degree Salary: Flexible; based on qualifications and experience Position Overview DataHaven Solutions, a subcontractor to Parsons, is seeking an experienced System Administrator to support a CITE (Computer Integration and Test Environment) facility at Fort Meade, Maryland.

The selected candidate will be responsible for administering, maintaining, and enhancing complex development and test infrastructure across network management, network design and architecture, network systems engineering, network installation and maintenance, and information systems security engineering. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Windows and Linux network administration, familiarity with radio frequency (RF) systems and components, and the ability to support secure, mission-critical development and testing environments.

This is a fully on-site position at the R&E Building in Fort Meade, Maryland.

Key Responsibilities The System Administrator will support the design, implementation, operation, and sustainment of development and test infrastructure, including: Network Administration & Infrastructure Management Manage, monitor, and control networks supporting development and test environments. Configure, maintain, and sustain Windows and Linux systems, network infrastructure, and associated hardware and software. Maintain network hardware and software, including uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems.

Troubleshoot networks, computer systems, servers, and peripheral devices to identify and resolve failures and performance issues. Consult and coordinate with external organizations to resolve network, system, server, and infrastructure issues. Conduct site surveys for IT installations and validate the testing and quality assurance of development and test infrastructure systems. Network Design & Systems Engineering Develop, evaluate, and contribute to technical proposals for changes to CITE facility networks.

Design, select, and implement architectures and procedures to address complex infrastructure challenges. Perform high-level system design, defining system and component performance requirements and interfaces. Translate conceptual designs into technical specifications. Identify and evaluate existing and emerging products, technologies, and architectures to address design, development, and testing requirements. Select IT products, tools, services, and infrastructure components for development systems.

Installation, Maintenance & Technical Support Install, configure, customize, test, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain hardware and software components within development and test infrastructure. Perform lifecycle support for hardware, software, firmware, and configuration upgrades or modifications. Install, test, and improve infrastructure equipment to maintain operational readiness. Perform hardware component repairs and modifications, including micro-soldering, trace repair, and component replacement to sustain equipment and support reverse engineering efforts.

Information Systems Security & Configuration Management Implement, configure, and sustain network and computer security solutions, including encryption, firewalls, antivirus rule sets, and intrusion detection and prevention systems. Apply computer security principles to protect development and test infrastructure. Use configuration management principles to plan, manage, and document system implementation, modification, and integration. Maintain system inventories, non-attributable systems matrices, and rack, elevation, and room drawings. Implement and follow applicable safety protocols.

Required Qualifications 10+ years of IT experience, including Windows and Linux network administration, with a bachelor's degree; or 15+ years of relevant IT experience without a bachelor's degree. Full-Scope Security Clearance. Experience administering, configuring, and maintaining network infrastructure and computer systems. Familiarity with radio frequency (RF) systems and components. Strong knowledge of network administration, systems engineering, infrastructure maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Specialized Technical Skills Candidates should demonstrate experience or knowledge in the following areas: Network Architecture & Connectivity Understanding of software, hardware, and network architectures and topologies, including WANs, CANs, LANs, telecommunications systems, and associated protocols and standards. Knowledge of network connectivity concepts, including routing, switching, and IP addressing. Understanding of network architecture theory, design, implementation, and operation.

Experience designing, developing, evaluating, testing, and securing development and test infrastructure networks. Telecommunications & RF Systems Knowledge of telecommunications concepts, components, protocols, and standards, including transmission, switching, and routing management. Experience designing, implementing, and operating telecommunications systems. Awareness of emerging technologies, tools, and trends relevant to mobile and RF development and testing infrastructure.

Systems Security & Configuration Management Familiarity with security hardware and software options and their specifications and applications. Understanding of computer security concepts and principles. Experience implementing and sustaining security solutions, including encryption, firewalls, antivirus tools, and intrusion detection and prevention systems. Knowledge of configuration management practices for planning, managing, and documenting system changes and integrations.

Infrastructure Operations & Documentation Experience configuring, managing, and sustaining development and test network infrastructure and computer systems. Ability to monitor and maintain applications within an IT environment. Experience planning, coordinating, and administering hardware and software installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Ability to maintain accurate system inventories, non-attributable systems matrices, and rack, elevation, and room drawings. Knowledge of applicable safety protocols.
