Job description

Job Title: Data Platform Architect

Location: Remote

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain enterprise data platform strategy, architecture standards, and design patterns.

  • Architect scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud data platforms.

  • Lead data engineering teams in implementing ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration solutions.

  • Establish data governance, security, compliance, disaster recovery, and platform reliability standards.

  • Enable analytics, reporting, and AI/ML workloads through modern data architectures.

  • Evaluate emerging data technologies and drive AI-powered data engineering automation.

Required Skills

  • 7+ years of database engineering experience, including 3+ years in database architecture.

  • Enterprise data platform architecture across Azure and Google Cloud (Google Cloud Platform).

  • Strong expertise in Snowflake, SQL, Python, and Matillion.

  • Experience with Azure Data Lake (ADLS), Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Oracle.

  • Data modeling, ETL/ELT orchestration, data governance, and cloud data integration.

  • Knowledge of infrastructure as code, CI/CD, observability, security, and AI/ML data platforms.

  • Excellent communication, technical documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a related field.

  • Healthcare payer domain experience, including claims, eligibility, members, and providers.

  • Apigee API integration experience.

  • Integration experience with Salesforce, FACETS, and ServiceNow.
