Lead Clinician

Job Title: Lead Clinician

Duty Location: State-wide North Carolina (Variable sites; subject to approx. 25% travel)

Duration: 12+ Months

Key Responsibilities

• Clinical Supervision: Provide comprehensive clinical oversight for professional counseling work (LCPC, LCSW, LCAS levels) addressing mental disorders, crisis interventions, psychological assessments, and Evidence-Based Treatments (EBT).
• Quality Assurance & Chart Reviews: Responsible for conducting written, standardized clinical chart reviews on each of the 8 clinical team members on a monthly basis to ensure strict adherence to state, federal, and NCNG SOP documentation standards.
• Caseload & Hotline Rotations: Carry an active clinical treatment caseload of approximately 15 clients (compared to standard clinician loads of 20). Share 24/7 toll-free Helpline queue rotation, maintaining an action response window within 30 minutes of a call.
• Team Leadership: Facilitate bimonthly clinical team meetings and monthly case manager meetings. Administer the IMHS Clinician Mentorship Program for new hires during their 6-month onboarding cycle. Act as the Interim Director during director leaves of absence.
• System Care & Representation: Ensure treatment plans and referrals are properly routed via G1 Medical Behavioral Health Operations Program (BHOP) SOPs. Perform or facilitate Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) briefings and serve as a subject matter expert on NCNG task forces.

Job Requirements

• Education & Licensure: Must meet the baseline qualifications of a Clinical Case Manager (Valid NC state license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT at the independent provider level).
• Certifications: Current certification/licensure in evidence-based treatment for psychological trauma.
• Professional Standing: Maintain active professional liability insurance and good standing with all appropriate licensing boards.
• Experience: Prior experience supervising clinical teams and managing complex case routing within military or civilian health networks is highly preferred.
