Company Overview
A growing manufacturing and technology organization is seeking an AV Systems Administrator to support enterprise collaboration, live events, and IT operations. Based in Los Angeles, California, the company operates in a highly technical, fast-paced environment where reliable audiovisual systems and scalable technology services are critical to daily operations. This role offers the opportunity to combine hands-on AV expertise with systems administration, automation, and IT service delivery.
Role Summary
The AV Systems Administrator will own and support audiovisual and collaboration technologies while serving as a senior technical resource for broader IT operations. This role combines live AV production, Microsoft Teams administration, conference room technology, systems administration, scripting, and IT automation. The ideal candidate has experience running executive and company-wide events while also being comfortable troubleshooting complex IT issues, developing automation, and partnering with infrastructure and security teams.

AV Systems Administrator

The AV Systems Administrator will own and support audiovisual and collaboration technologies while serving as a senior technical resource for broader IT operations. This role combines live AV production, Microsoft Teams administration, conference room technology, systems administration, scripting, and IT automation. The ideal candidate has experience running executive and company-wide events while also being comfortable troubleshooting complex IT issues, developing automation, and partnering with infrastructure and security teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support enterprise collaboration and audiovisual platforms, including Microsoft Teams environments.
- Plan and execute live AV production for executive meetings, company-wide events, presentations, podcasts, and other high-visibility events.
- Configure, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot conference room technologies, including audio, video, control, and collaboration systems.
- Support new conference room deployments, including equipment selection, installation coordination, testing, documentation, and vendor management.
- Develop scripts and automation using PowerShell, Bash, Python, APIs, webhooks, and related technologies to streamline IT operations.
- Build and optimize ITSM workflows, integrations, forms, queues, and service automation.
- Serve as a senior escalation point for complex end-user, systems, and collaboration technology issues.
- Identify root causes, implement sustainable solutions, and develop technical documentation and operational runbooks.
- Evaluate and implement AI-enabled support and automation capabilities to improve service delivery.
- Partner with Security, Infrastructure, DevOps, and other technical teams on cross-functional initiatives.
Additional Details
- Work model: On-site, five days per week
- Approximately 10-20% nationwide travel required
- Hands-on position requiring occasional movement and setup of AV and IT equipment
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States and satisfy applicable regulatory employment requirements
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of IT experience with hands-on responsibility across both audiovisual support and systems administration.
- Demonstrated experience running live AV for executive meetings, large-scale company events, presentations, podcasts, or similar productions.
- Deep experience administering and supporting Microsoft Teams and enterprise collaboration environments.
- Strong experience supporting conference room technologies and integrated AV systems.
- Strong scripting or automation skills using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar technologies.
- Experience administering or improving ITSM platforms, workflows, integrations, and service automation.
- Experience integrating systems using APIs, webhooks, SDKs, or similar technologies.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to serve as an escalation point and perform root-cause analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to support executives and technical teams.
- Ability to lift and move AV and technology equipment weighing up to approximately 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves)
- Experience supporting government cloud or other highly regulated collaboration environments.
- Experience with enterprise AV technologies comparable to Crestron, Q-SYS, Logitech, and related platforms.
- Experience developing AI-enabled IT support automation, chatbots, or self-service capabilities.
- AV industry certifications or formal training in enterprise audiovisual technologies.
- Experience with live streaming, broadcast production, switching, or encoding platforms.
- Knowledge of networking concepts including VLANs, QoS, VPNs, and enterprise Wi-Fi.
- Prior software engineering or advanced scripting experience.
- Experience working within regulated environments governed by security frameworks such as NIST, CMMC, ISO 27001, or SOC 2.
- Degree or coursework in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
