📌 Hiring: Senior Systems Administrator

📍 Location: Houston, Texas

🕒 Job Type: Long Term contract

We are looking for a Senior Systems Administrator with architect-level expertise to lead website consolidation efforts, oversee infrastructure monitoring, and drive resolution of application and server-level issues. The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on experience in Windows-based environments with strong exposure to .NET application landscapes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute website consolidation initiatives, including assessment, migration planning, and execution
• Architect and maintain IIS (Internet Information Services) configurations across environments
• Monitor infrastructure health and proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues
• Manage and optimize Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022)
• Collaborate with application teams on .NET application deployments, configurations, and performance tuning
• Define and enforce standards for server hardening, patching, and change management
• Document current-state application landscape and drive future-state architecture decisions

Required Skills

• 8+ years in Systems Administration with architect-level ownership
• Strong expertise in Windows Server, IIS, and Active Directory
• Hands-on experience with .NET application infrastructure and deployment pipelines
• Proven experience in website/application consolidation projects
• Infrastructure monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Dynatrace, or equivalent)
• Scripting proficiency — PowerShell preferred

Preferred

• Experience with load balancing, SSL certificate management, and DNS
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Cloud exposure (Azure preferred, given .NET ecosystem alignment)
