Location: Remote, USA. Preference for California Bay Area/San Francisco/Menlo Park or West Coast time zones.


Duration: Contract - 6 months, with potential extension based on performance and business needs.


Pay Range: $76/hr $81/hr (W2).

Job Description


We are seeking a People Data Review Program Manager to join our dynamic People Risk, Privacy, Compliance team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in risk assessment, privacy and employment compliance, and data protection and a proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional risk programs and drive compliance-by-design across product initiatives.


Responsibilities:



  • Perform deep-dive risk assessments across privacy and employment compliance, with emphasis on product-facing initiatives.

  • Apply and maintain rigorous risk frameworks to evaluate complex compliance risks.

  • Partner with engineering and technical teams to understand product infrastructure and data processing to assess risks.

  • Support the People Data Review program and manage high-intensity workflows with precision and speed.

  • Influence product development through compliance-by-design to align with global protection standards.

  • Lead end-to-end risk assessments for people data projects and initiatives, maintaining accountability and collaborating with Legal.

  • Drive resolution of issues identified during reviews with Legal and cross-functional compliance partners.

  • Develop and execute communication plans to report program status, issues, and risks to stakeholders and leadership.

  • Anticipate bottlenecks, manage escalations, and ensure HR compliance is upheld.

  • Demonstrate effective collaboration, people skills, and a bias to action in an operations environment.

  • Define and track key metrics, quality, and performance indicators, and drive cross-functional delivery.


Required Skills & Qualifications:



  • 10+ years in risk assessment, assurance, and compliance management.

  • Expertise in privacy and employment compliance and data protection, including GDPR and CCPA.

  • Strong technical data literacy, including infrastructure and data processing understanding.

  • Structured analytical skills with ability to balance speed and precision in risk analysis.

  • Demonstrated ownership and reliability in end-to-end program delivery.

  • Second line of defense risk management or internal audit experience in a technology environment preferred.

  • Background in People Data Privacy and/or User Data Privacy, plus employment compliance experience.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance in a fast-paced setting.

  • Proven delivery of risk assessments across privacy, employment, security, and AI compliance.

  • Working knowledge of employment laws and regulations or ability to learn quickly.

  • Data analysis proficiency with attention to detail and creativity in problem-solving.

  • Experience building trusted relationships with engineering and Legal stakeholders.


Preferred Skills:



  • Experience working in highly matrixed, global technology organizations.

  • Prior experience with People Data Review or similar privacy review councils.
